HAT-TRICK hero Aaron Watson scored two goals in injury time as Westfield edged past Great Wakering Rovers 5-3 in a hugely dramatic FA Trophy Preliminary Round affair.
Having led 3-1, Westfield saw their hold on the game slip as the home side scored two goals in the final five minutes of regular time, only for Watson to score his second and third of the game in added time to steal the match.
The visitors took the lead in the 18th minute through Max Blackmore and despite conceding a Jack Gordon goal 15 minutes later, Watson scored his first of the game shortly after half-time to confirm their ascendency.
Tinashe Nkoma then appeared to wrap up the tie for Westfield 12 minutes from time, but Rovers hit back through a Gordon penalty and Jon Benton to seemingly secure a replay.
However, after Rovers man Ollie Woodhouse was sent off, Watson came to the fore with two winning goals in no time at all to book their place in the first qualifying round.
Draw for the next round is due tomorrow (Monday 14th)
