Recently discovered shirt uncovers Cup Final signatures
On 20 April 2011, our reserve team, going well in the Combined Counties Reserve League, lined up against a strong Mole Valley SCR reserve team, who 2 weeks earlier had clinched the League title with a 3-0 defeat of our local rivals Knaphill. Following two semi-final goals from Mike Tasker in March, it looked set for a good battle, but didn't turn out as hoped, Westfield going down 4-0 and Mole Valley sealing the double. Our reserves finished the league in 4th place, but ironically our opponents that day did not win again in their last three league games.
The game was played at Egham Town FC with goals for Mole Valley SCR scored by Joseph Hill, Ben Jeffcoate, Mark McDowell and Nick Wightwick.
