Chagos Islands head coach joins Westfield for the coming season
Club Manager Simon Lane is pleased to announce Garreth Newton as our new goalkeeper coach.
Garreth is currently doing his UEFA B licence, but is also a qualified goalkeeper coach. Currently head coach at Chagos Islands National Team and previously at Broadbridge Heath FC, Garreth is looking forward to joining our strong management team and progressing as a coach. He is also due to start as a Community coach with Brighton & Hove Albion later this year.
“It’s great to have secured Garreth to join our management team. He will specialise with the goalkeepers, but can also utilise his considerable experience and training to work with our outfield players", Simon confirmed.
Garreth added, "This is a fantastic opportunity to coach in the Isthmian League at Westfield, but also to work with Simon Lane and Matthew Brown is itself a great prospect".
