Westfield welcome new First Team coach

Portsmouth Academy coach joins Westfield for 2020-21
The club is delighted to welcome Matt Brown to Woking Park for the new season.
"I'm pleased and very excited to start the role as coach of Westfield FC. I'm looking forward to meeting the players and working with Simon; after a couple of chats we both seem to think and feel the same about the game, how we like our teams to play and set up.
A little bit about my past and present. I'm 35 years old, played in Germany, Belgium professionally and also USA. For the past 3 years, I have been coaching at Chelsea FC with the International Department and am now working with Portsmouth FC Academy.
I'm currently completing my UEFA A license in coaching and a masters in Performance Football Coaching. I'm really looking forward to working with the players and getting to know everyone around the club. Hopefully with hard work, we can all pull together to bring success to the club.
Finally everyone, take care in this difficult time and I look forward to when the season is up and running again."

Our new manager Simon Lane added "I’m delighted to bring Matt on board to the management team. It became clear from our in-depth discussions that we share very similar philosophies, and how we look to improve our players individually and collectively. I have been working non-stop on incomings and retention of some players, which for now I’ll keep my counsel on, given the uncertainty around a return date, but things are going very well. One thing for sure is that with Matt on board now, the management team will be providing a fantastic learning environment for any player that wants to improve at Westfield."
