A much changed Westfield side with only 3 of Saturdays lineup starting bowed out of the league cup after late drama at Fetcham Grove.

A pretty uneventful first half saw the hosts very fortunately awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time which was converted by Tom Kavanagh.

A few changes saw a much improved second half showing but the game seemed out of reach when Caleb Wright handled on the line and was sent off. From the resulting spot-kick Kavanagh blazed it high over the bar.

Westfield continued to threaten and were rewarded in the final minute when Luis Edwards flicked on for John Adebiyi to stab home from close range.
Almost immediately however Fitzgerald sent a ball in from deep and Marco Haigh arrived at the back post to scuff an effort which looped up and over the reach of Lewis Gallifent to steal the win.
