Westfield returned to winning ways but left it late to take all 3 points against a stubborn & defensive focused Ascot.
Despite the lions share of possession first half Westfield could not find the opener although new signing from Corinthian-Casuals Danny Campion thought he had opened his account but was adjudged to be offside.
The second half saw Ascot continue to rarely threaten 17 year old Rileigh Hebditch in goal on his Ishtmian League debut.
It took the skipper Luke Elliott to lead by example and head home in the 81st minute to seal the points following Andy Crossley’s delivery arriving on point to loop his header beyond the gasp of Sobte.
